ALESSIA GIACOBINO – THE CUBE OF LOVE!

Alessia Giacobino, fashion designer and architect, opens her most private world to the readers of >bmmZONE, inviting them to enter her home in Rimini.

Seven years, that's how long it took to complete this ambitious housing project, seven like the seven souls of Alessia Giacobino: stylist, entrepreneur, fashion consultant, architect, mother, wife and, above all, woman.

The proximity to the sea, a natural element part of its DNA, and the large, rather wild garden, where the temporal dimension loses importance are the reasons that won it over from the beginning.
Precisely for this reason, Alessia Giacobino opted for a renovation, giving rise to a much more complex recovery job than that necessary for a new construction.
In fact, complex restoration and consolidation interventions had to be carried out from the foundations to the roof.
The original plan of the villa has also been fully respected.
Result, a house different from all the others in the surrounding area.

A marked sensitivity towards the intrinsic beauty of things guided Alessia Giacobino in the choice of furnishings for her home-refuge: a cube in which you can breathe a profound love for the design of the 50s, 60s and 70s (Alessia and her husband are passionate collectors of vintage pieces that they have collected during their travels) thanks to the presence of modern objects that mark an original decorative rhythm and casual sophistication.

The sometimes severe and always refined style is the leitmotif that unites all the rooms of the villa, in which warm and enveloping colors stand out everywhere: from the living room to the bedrooms to the bathrooms (the only exception being the kitchen , consisting of two parallel blocks, for which white and steel were chosen, favoring contemporaneity and maximum functionality). The same materials used - we are referring to the ultra-dark woods, the stone in cappuccino tones, the leather and the brass, so dear to Giacobino - suggest an elegant intimacy, which in the most private environments is expressed by the presence of numerous photos of family.

Everything has a precise reason for being in Alessia Giacobino's villa, which is why we see neither the desire for redundant scenic effects nor the cliché of perfection at any cost, but a very personal taste and aesthetic sense that produce an atmosphere of discreet luxury, the one that Alessia and her family love to share every time they return... home!
